Cardel Homes Denver

Beyond Bricks and Mortar

Having a successful family business means thinking like a family – even when you’ve grown into an international company. For Cardel, this means helping those around us. Through our charitable organization, Cardel Foundations, we are proud to support initiatives that enrich lives and communities. We have a long history of sponsoring programs that bring people together. But beyond simple sponsorship, we believe in dedicating time and talent to worthy causes. From breast cancer campaigns and food bank drives to programs that keep underprivileged kids in sports, Cardel provides planning, marketing and financial assistance to help build strong communities in every sense.

Homeruns for Hunger

DENVER – Cardel teamed up with the Colorado Rockies to fight hunger. For every home run the Rockies hit, Cardel donated $100 to the food bank. By collecting additional cash and food donations, the total take on behalf of the Food Bank of the Rockies was $43,000 and 4,500 lb of food.

Dreams Take Flight

CALGARY – Every year, Cardel dedicates proceeds from its annual Golf Tournament to Dreams Take Flight, an Air Canada volunteer organization that sends special-needs kids to Disneyland on a special chartered flight. With the support of our sponsors – many of them Cardel Homes trades, suppliers, and partners – we have raised over $200,000 in the past five years on behalf of this worthy cause.

Brandon Ballet

TAMPA – Healthy communities start with well-built homes, but only the arts can make them great. Cardel was proud to sponsor the Brandon Ballet in their pursuit to bring dance to schools in the Tampa Bay area.

Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO)

OTTAWA – The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario is a world class health sciences centre for kids aged 0 – 18. Cardel has made regular contributions over the years, including a campaign that comprised a cash donation every time someone purchased a Cardel home. We wish CHEO the best in their continued efforts to lead the health community in family-centred care.

Camp Chief Hector Renovations

CALGARY – For over 70 years, the YMCA's Camp Chief Hector has provided a safe, fun place for kids to experience the outdoors. Cardel volunteers had a great time cleaning up the camp and building camp structures that previously proved too costly to complete.

Take Hunger by Storm

TAMPA – Cardel and the Tampa Bay Lightning helped local high schools engage in a friendly, spirited competition to raise food donations for the Metropolitan Ministries Food Bank. Lightning players visited participating schools to whip up enthusiasm. The three schools who collected the most donations were awarded $5,000 each by Cardel to go toward their athletic programs.

Cardel Crisis Housing Fund

CALGARY – If you had to decide between food for you and your children or shelter, what would it be? Sadly, that's the situation facing many Calgary women who can't afford our steep rents after they depart from emergency shelters. The YWCA Cardel Crisis Housing Fund helps women and their children successfully transition into permanent, stable and supported housing after leaving YWCA's emergency shelter or crisis transitional housing. The fund is also available to women facing evictions due to temporary rent shortages and women and children who are turned away from shelters because there are no beds available.

Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation aims to increase cancer survival rates in Eastern Ontario by raising funds and awareness for a variety of cancer care programs. They also invest in local research initiatives, both laboratory and clinical. They are the rallying point for people who want to be part of the answer to cancer as active members in the fight for cancer survivorship in eastern Ontario. Recently, Cardel Homes helped the Courage Campaign to surpass its original goal and raise $20.5 million.
